Jeff Hawkins has spent nearly twenty years on a quest to discover how the brain's cortex generates intelligence. In this episode he talks about his new book A Thousand Brains: A New Theory of Intelligence. Inspired by the pioneering work of Vernon Montcastle, Hawkins team at Numenta has proposed a new theory that he calls the housand brains theory. As always, Hawkins makes his work accessible to listeners and readers of all backgrounds.
